Magnificent Ensemble

The Story of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center

client: Nashville Symphony | published: 2006

On September 9, 2006, the Nashville Symphony inaugurated a world-class concert hall, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, with a white-tie Opening Night Gala featuring Conductor Leonard Slatkin. Awaiting the 2,000 gala attendees and donors was the newly published Magnificent Ensemble, a coffee-table gift book commissioned by Symphony leadership to commemorate the Center—including construction of the new building—from ground breaking to opening night. The result is a magnificent treasure book that the Nashville Symphony continues to use as a donor gift in its $120-million endowment campaign.

“In Magnificent Ensemble: The Story of Schermerhorn Symphony Center, every picture tells a story and, in compelling fashion, unforgettably captures the genesis of Nashville’s newest cultural landmark.”
